FMSP is dedicated to excellence in music and performing arts education. It was established as a separate faculty in 2010 after being part of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Arts since 1997. This faculty plays a vital role in nurturing talent and creativity through diverse academic and practical programs in music, theatre, and dance. Vision of the faculty is \u201cTo become a centre of excellence in music and performing arts education, producing competent and balanced professionals\u201d while their mission is \u201cTo generate and enhance knowledge in music and performing arts through teaching, research, and community service, contributing to national and global advancements\u201d. The faculty offers programs ranging from diploma to doctoral levels. These include specialized areas in music education, performance, composition, and performing arts, ensuring a holistic development of students. The faculty comprises two main departments which are the Department of Music and Music Education that focuses on theoretical and practical aspects of music and the Department of Performing Arts which covers drama, dance, and other performance disciplines. The faculty provides state-of-the-art facilities, including performance halls, studios, and rehearsal spaces, designed to enhance student learning and practice. The faculty actively engages in scholarly research and international conferences, fostering a collaborative environment for innovation in music and performing arts. Events like the International Music &amp; Performing Arts Conference (IMPAC) are hosted regularly. FMSP berdedikasi untuk kecemerlangan dalam muzik dan pendidikan seni persembahan. Ia ditubuhkan sebagai fakulti berasingan pada 2010 selepas menjadi sebahagian daripada Fakulti Sains Sosial dan Seni sejak 1997. Fakulti ini memainkan peranan penting dalam memupuk bakat dan kreativiti melalui program akademik dan praktikal yang pelbagai dalam muzik, teater dan tarian. Visi fakulti ialah &#8220;Menjadi pusat kecemerlangan dalam muzik dan pendidikan seni persembahan, melahirkan profesional yang cekap dan seimbang&#8221; manakala misi mereka ialah &#8220;Untuk menjana dan meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam muzik dan seni persembahan melalui pengajaran, penyelidikan, dan khidmat masyarakat, menyumbang. kepada kemajuan negara dan global\u201d. Fakulti menawarkan program dari peringkat diploma hingga kedoktoran. Ini termasuk bidang khusus dalam pendidikan muzik, persembahan, gubahan, dan seni persembahan, memastikan perkembangan holistik pelajar. Fakulti ini terdiri daripada dua jabatan utama iaitu Jabatan Muzik dan Pendidikan Muzik yang memfokuskan kepada aspek teori dan praktikal muzik dan Jabatan Seni Persembahan yang meliputi drama, tarian dan disiplin persembahan yang lain. Fakulti menyediakan kemudahan terkini, termasuk dewan persembahan, studio, dan ruang latihan, yang direka untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran dan latihan pelajar. Fakulti terlibat secara aktif dalam penyelidikan ilmiah dan persidangan antarabangsa, memupuk persekitaran kolaboratif untuk inovasi dalam muzik dan seni persembahan. Acara seperti Persidangan Muzik &amp; Seni Persembahan Antarabangsa (IMPAC) dihoskan secara berkala.
