This area is said to have been a site for beheading punishments by the Imperial Japanese Army. The Japanese began occupying SITC from February 1941 to August 1945. During the Japanese occupation, SITC students were transferred to Istana Hilir and Istana Hulu in Kuala Kangsar, while goods were transported using trains loaded in 70 wagons. When the academic term resumed on April 1, 1946, this area had to be cleaned because many human skulls and bones were found buried in abandoned forts and in pits. The site is now included in the \u201cUniversiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Historical Heritage Route&#8221;.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6d57f5a e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"6d57f5a\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;content_width&quot;:&quot;boxed&quot;}\" data-core-v316-plus=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5582c39 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5582c39\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Semasa pendudukan Jepun di Tanjong Malim, kawasan SITC telah digunakan sebagai pangkalan untuk operasi Tentera Imperial Jepun. Kawasan ini dikatakan pernah menjadi tapak hukuman pancung oleh Tentera Imperial Jepun. Jepun mula menduduki SITC dari Februari 1941 hingga Ogos 1945. Semasa pendudukan Jepun, pelajar SITC telah dipindahkan ke Istana Hilir dan Istana Hulu di Kuala Kangsar, manakala barangan diangkut menggunakan kereta api yang dimuatkan dalam 70 gerabak. Apabila penggal akademik disambung semula pada 1 April 1946, kawasan ini terpaksa dibersihkan kerana banyak tengkorak dan tulang manusia ditemui tertimbus di dalam kubu terbiar dan dalam lubang.
