The crimes and atrocities of the communists can be said to happen almost every day which involves threats against SITC students and Tanjong Malim residents, mortar bomb attacks in SITC areas, shootings in villages, attacks on Tanjong Malim police forces, bomb explosions at oil depots belonging to Mogah Bus Company, burning buses and others. On this pole there are traces of gunshots fired by communist soldiers during a shootout with the Home Guard SITC team on February 1, 1952. A total of 20 communist soldiers fired at the Home Guard SITC hut and caused damage to the hut and the pole, but no one was injured and no casualties reported. The pole is now included in the \u201cUniversiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Historical Heritage Route&#8221;.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ed34132 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"ed34132\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;content_width&quot;:&quot;boxed&quot;}\" data-core-v316-plus=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c2b8296 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c2b8296\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Dalam tempoh darurat sekitar tahun 1948 hingga 1960, Tanjong Malim dan kawasan sekitarnya menjadi sarang tentera komunis. Kejahatan dan kekejaman komunis boleh dikatakan hampir setiap hari melibatkan ancaman terhadap pelajar SITC dan penduduk Tanjong Malim, serangan bom mortar di kawasan SITC, tembakan di kampung, serangan ke atas pasukan polis Tanjong Malim, letupan bom di depot minyak milik. ke Syarikat Bas Mogah, bas bakar dan lain-lain. Di tiang ini terdapat kesan tembakan yang dilepaskan oleh askar komunis semasa berbalas tembak dengan pasukan Home Guard SITC pada 1 Februari 1952. Seramai 20 orang askar komunis telah melepaskan tembakan ke arah pondok SITC Home Guard dan menyebabkan kerosakan pada pondok dan tiang tersebut, tetapi tiada kemalangan jiwa dilaporkan.
