The architectural design of Surau An-Nur reflects a blend of traditional and colonial influences. This building was designed by a famous architect from the Federated Malay States named Kesteven. During the era of MPSI, this surau was also known as Surau Pak Aris, in conjunction with the name of a photographer who worked at MPSI around the 1980s who was said to be persistent in managing this surau. The surau features a traditional wooden structure with elements of colonial architecture. Its windows, influenced by English designs, and the intricately crafted details around its mihrab, set it apart as a blend of Malay and colonial aesthetics\u200b. Now this surau has been repaired, newly painted and equipped with a modern speaker system and placed under the management of the UPSI Islamic Centre. This surau can accommodate about 100 pilgrims at a time. Surau An-Nur\u00a0is now included in the \u201cUniversiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Historical Heritage Route&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bf2f49a e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"bf2f49a\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;content_width&quot;:&quot;boxed&quot;}\" data-core-v316-plus=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4156c94 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4156c94\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Surau An-Nur dibina serentak dengan Bangunan Suluh Budiman pada Ogos 1919 dan siap sepenuhnya pada Jun 1922. Reka bentuk seni bina Surau An-Nur mencerminkan gabungan pengaruh tradisional dan penjajah. Bangunan ini direka oleh arkitek terkenal dari Negeri-negeri Melayu Bersekutu bernama Kesteven. Semasa era MPSI, surau ini juga dikenali sebagai Surau Pak Aris, sempena nama seorang jurugambar yang bertugas di MPSI sekitar tahun 1980-an yang dikatakan gigih menguruskan surau ini. Surau ini menampilkan struktur kayu tradisional dengan unsur seni bina kolonial. Tingkapnya, dipengaruhi oleh reka bentuk Inggeris, dan perincian yang direka dengan rumit di sekeliling mihrabnya, membezakannya sebagai gabungan estetika Melayu dan kolonial. Kini surau ini telah dibaik pulih, baru dicat dan dilengkapi dengan sistem pembesar suara moden dan diletakkan di bawah pengurusan Balai Islam UPSI. Surau ini boleh memuatkan kira-kira 100 jemaah dalam satu-satu masa. Kini, Surau An-Nur termasuk dalam \u201cLaluan Warisan Sejarah Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI)\u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div
