General terms for lending<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/b><\/h1>

Only registered patrons are allowed to borrow library material. Lending cannot be made by patrons who had their membership suspended. Patron membership may get suspended due to a number of reasons such as unpaid fines, over-limit lending, unreturned materials as the due date stated, disciplinary action taken to patrons or suspension from the university.<\/p>

Open shelve collections<\/strong><\/b>
All patrons may lend materials from the open shelves collections depending on their category of membership. Patrons may renew their loaned materials 2 times in a row depending on the noted terms and conditions.<\/p>

Red Spot collections<\/strong><\/b>
All patrons may lend this material for 1 day only.\u00a0 All Red Spot collections must be returned on the next corresponding day.<\/p>

SPP Service<\/strong><\/b>
This service is provided only to academicians and post-degree students. Other staff or patrons are required to request approval from their own department head or unit supervisor. They also need to have approval for the payment of photocopies, posts, telephone bills, facsimiles, internet access and other getting.<\/p>

Fines compounded to lost or damaged materials<\/strong><\/b>
The patron will be required to pay the price of the lost or damaged material. The payment amount is based on the highest amount between the current price for the material and the price that the library pays for it during acquisitions. In addition to that, he\/she will have to pay the reprocessing fee of RM25.00 per item.<\/p>

Fine compounded to lost or damaged materials which had no price attached to it.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>

Local books\/materials<\/strong><\/b><\/em><\/i>
Pay approximately a maximum of RM50.00 and a reprocessing fee of RM25.00 per item.<\/p>

Imported books\/materials<\/strong><\/b><\/em><\/i>
