kit, 24/7 Reference and QuestionPoint.
These applications bear a resemblance to
commercial help desk applications. These
applications possess functionality such as:
instant messaging, co-browsing, webpage
and document pushing, customization of
pre-scripted messages, storage of chat
transcripts and statistical reporting. A
video conferencing or webcam services is
a form of digital reference which includes
visual element. Librarians and users are
able to use both text and speech for
reference transactions.

Conclusion
As part of evolution of the digital library,
digital reference services should well de-
veloped and practices by the librarians in
order to satisfying the user needs and per-
ceptions. In this region, digital reference
services is a new technology that has a
potential to enhance the availability of
reference services to the user. Towards
that, the librarian need to be properly train
in order to acquire skills to operate various
formats of digital library services. They
need to equip themselves with the inter-
view techniques, communication

the skill that enable them to adopt the tech-
