Library Rules and Regulations

  1. ALWAYS display student card in the library.
  2. Wear APPROPRIATE attire as required by the university.
  3. Food and flavoured drinks are NOT ALLOWED in the library  and the 24-Hour Reading Room.
  4. Smoking is PROHIBITED on campus and within UPSI premises.
  5. Damaging library property, including scribbling, cutting, or relocating items, is an offense.
  6. The library will not be responsible for any damage or loss of personal belongings.
  7. Users are NOT ALLOWED to reserve seats in the library’s reading area and the 24-Hour Reading Room. Library staff have the right to remove unattended belongings.
  8. The library is  NOT for living or sleeping.
  9. Immoral behavior is strictly prohibited. Offenders can be referred to Security Department for  further action.
  10. Do not REARRANGE  furniture without permission.
  11. Library staff may inspect bags BEFORE or  AFTER entering the library if necessary.
  12. Library membership is non-transferable. Using another person’s card is an offense.
  13. Possessing library materials without going through the proper borrowing process is an offense.
  14. Place books, newspapers, and journals to their original place or the sorting racks.
  15. Leave the library after the second closing bell rings.
